An historic 19th century mansion houses the hotel and each room has an individual design. Some of the rooms have wonderful views over the rooftops of the old town from the floor to ceiling windows.

The main attractions of Guimaraes are very close, all within a maximum of 30 minutes walk or less. Both the Museu Arqueológico da Sociedade Martins Sarmento and Centro Internacional das Artes José de Guimarães are particularly close by. The Basílica de São Pedro is also virtually next door.
There is no shortage of nearby bars, restaurants and cafes in and around Largo do Toural. The friendly Café Milenário is a personal favourite with huge tuna salads and excellent wine and coffee.
